Introducing the Seiko "Seiko 5 " made in 1967 .

From the 1960s to the 1970s , domestic watch manufacturers actively released a wide variety of models, and mechanical watches reached their peak. Seiko also began selling a large number of models from various perspectives, such as design, functionality, and specialized features.

The Seiko 5 is one of the most representative models of Seiko watches from the 1960s . Equipped with advanced functions such as automatic winding, date function, and a waterproof case, it was available in a wide variety of designs and was excellent value for money, making it a huge hit, especially among young people at the time.

Numerous derivative models have been produced since then, and it is still one of Seiko's most representative series, loved by many people today.

The Seiko 5 was first released in 1967 as a new model in the 5 Series, replacing the Sportsmatic 5 .

The dial is a black dial with a sunray finish.
The glossiness is subdued to a moderate level, enhancing the sharpness of the black dial.

The " SEIKO " logo is placed at the 9 o'clock position rather than the 12 o'clock position, which is an unusual design.
By lining it up in a straight line with the calendar, your field of vision expands to the entire dial, making the dial appear larger than its actual size.

The index features a special cube-shaped index that is reminiscent of a building, giving the watch a modern design.

The Seiko 5 inherits the functionality of the Sportsmatic, but the design has been completely redesigned for a modern, casual look.

The movement is a 23 jewel automatic, Cal. 5126A .

This movement has a simple structure and is very easy to maintain and durable.
The date can be quickly changed by operating the crown.

Size: height: 39.1mm , width: 34.9mm , thickness: 10.4mm , weight: 74g .

The Seiko 5 , with its black dial and casual design, looks interesting not only with casual styles such as sweatshirts, flannel shirts, and denim jackets, but also with tech-oriented, high-tech material clothing.

The condition is good, with some small scratches on the case due to use, but no major damage such as chips.
The dial shows some changes due to aging, but does not affect visibility.
The movement is in good working order and the calendar function works smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
