SEIKO 69's 45 KING SEIKO SUPERIOR CHRONOMETER Cal.4502A
SEIKO 69's 45 KING SEIKO SUPERIOR CHRONOMETER Cal.4502A
Introducing the Seiko " 45 King Seiko Chronometer Superior" manufactured in 1969 .
The movement , Cal. 4502A , installed in the King Seiko we are introducing this time is a commercially available modified version of the movement used by the Daini Seikosha Kameido factory when it participated in a chronometer competition. It is called the " 45 series movement" and was created to compete with Suwa Seikosha, which was developing Grand Seiko at the time.
Its skill was so great that in 1967 , it won second place amongst other prestigious manufacturers at the Chronometer Competition held in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
The following year, in 1968 , it achieved the remarkable feat of passing the official test of the Japan Chronometer Association for the first time.
Furthermore, it has passed Seiko's own " GS standard," which is said to be stricter than chronometer certification, and is also installed in later Grand Seiko models.
This is a masterpiece movement that had a major influence on later Seiko models.
The Seiko " 45 King Seiko Chronometer Superior" that we are introducing this time has the word " CHRONOMETER " printed on the 12 o'clock position on the dial, as well as the word " SUPERIOR ," which denotes luxury and high quality.
Only a few units bearing the word "Superior" were produced, making this a highly rare model.
The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish that reflects light radially.
The indexes and hands are upright bar indexes with bar hands.
Both have black in the center, which not only provides excellent visibility but also gives the watch a more refined look.
The dial design is simple, with the lettering at the 12 o'clock position highlighting the design.
The stainless steel case features impressive, edgy, and beautiful lines reminiscent of the C- line case.
The " KS Superior Chronometer" medallion inlaid into the case back is also in good condition.
"King Seiko" is a watch with quality worthy of the Superior name.
The movement is equipped with a 25- jewel hand-wound movement , Cal. 4502A .
This movement has received numerous awards, proving its precision, and it is also highly durable and provides stable operation.
This is a renowned movement that Seiko is proud of, created not only with precision in mind, but also with practical aspects such as hacking and calendar functions.
Size: height: 41.3mm , width: 39.5mm , thickness: 9.0mm , weight: 44g .
This case features striking, beautiful lines and can be used in a wide range of situations, from business to private.
It can be coordinated with a variety of styles, from jackets to casual styles such as sweatshirts and T- shirts.
The condition is good, with only a few small scratches on the case and no noticeable scratches, and the medallion on the back cover is still in good condition.
There is some discoloration and chipping around the edges of the dial from 10pm to midnight and around 1pm to 2pm, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement runs smoothly and all functions are in good working order.
