SEIKO 70's 45 KING SEIKO SUPERIOR CHRONOMETER Cal.4500A
SEIKO 70's 45 KING SEIKO SUPERIOR CHRONOMETER Cal.4500A
Introducing the Seiko " 45 King Seiko Superior Chronometer" made in 1970 .
The 45 series movement installed in the King Seiko introduced here is a commercially available modification of the movement used by the Daini Seikosha Kameido factory when it participated in a chronometer competition. It is called the " 45 series movement" and was created to compete with Suwa Seikosha, which was developing Grand Seiko at the time.
Its skill was so great that in 1967 it won second place amongst other prestigious manufacturers at the Chronometer Competition held in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
The following year, in 1968 , it achieved the remarkable feat of passing the official test of the Japan Chronometer Association for the first time.
Furthermore, it has passed Seiko's own " GS standard," which is said to be stricter than chronometer certification, and is also installed in later Grand Seiko models.
This is a masterpiece movement that had a major influence on later Seiko models.
The unique design centers around the "mask" and features sharp edges reminiscent of a Japanese sword.
The combination of these two elements creates an impressive sharp luster in the 45 King Seiko.
This is a case design that could only be realized by Seiko, which has advanced metal cutting technology.
The word " SUPERIOR " at the 12 o'clock position on the dial means "high quality" or "luxury." Only a small number of watches with the word " SUPERIOR " were produced, making this an extremely rare piece .
The dial is a silver dial with a beautiful sunburst finish.
There is discoloration in the center due to aging, but it is there seamlessly, as if it was there from the beginning.
The discolored areas create a three-dimensional effect with uneven surfaces on the dial, and when combined with the silver dial, it evolves into a unique dial that gives the illusion of looking at the moon.
The elegance inherent to King Seiko and the richness of the dial's expression that comes with aging make this a watch with a dignity worthy of the name " SUPERIOR ."
The movement is a 25- jewel hand-wound movement, Cal. 4502A .
This movement has received numerous awards, proving its precision, and it is also highly durable and provides stable operation.
This is a renowned movement that Seiko is proud of, created with practical aspects in mind, such as not only precision but also ease of maintenance.
Size: height: 40.8mm , width: 38.8mm , thickness: 9.5mm , weight: 44g .
This case features striking, beautiful lines and can be used in a wide range of situations, from business to private.
It can be coordinated with a variety of styles, from jackets to casual styles such as sweatshirts and T- shirts.
The condition of the case is good, with some small scratches, but the edges are firm and there are no noticeable scratches.
The medallion on the back is in good condition with no corrosion or chips.
The dial has discolored due to aging, but there is no problem with visibility.
The movement is in beautiful condition with no rust and works perfectly.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
