Introducing the Seiko " 5 Actus" made in 1972 .

Seiko's " 5 Actus" is a series that was introduced in 1969 and gained popularity as a model that combined fashion with reliable mechanical performance.

It is part of Seiko's proud " 5 " series, and its design reflects the trends of the times while also being practical.

■Dial and case design

Seiko " 5 Actus" made in 1972 .
The appeal of this model is its blue gradient dial.

The center is bright and the color fades to a darker shade towards the periphery, creating a beautiful transition that shows different expressions depending on how the light hits it.
While the colors are vibrant, the overall look is clean and tidy, allowing you to naturally enjoy the unique style of the 1970s .

The combination of three-dimensional upright indexes and thick bar hands adds strength to the entire dial.
The minute markers around the outer periphery also add a light accent to the design.

The windshield is equipped with cut glass and was replaced with the original genuine glass windshield from that time when it arrived.
The fact that these genuine parts still remain is a rare find these days, and the delicate reflections that appear depending on the angle are a unique highlight of this model.

The case features a voluminous form reminiscent of the 1970s .
Although it is rounded, it has a contour that protrudes clearly on both sides, giving it just the right presence in the hand.

Another appealing feature of this model is that it incorporates the unique design of the dial and crystal while maintaining a clean overall look.

■ Movement

The movement is a 21- jewel automatic, Cal. 7019A .
This practical watch was widely adopted by Seiko from the late 1960s to the 1970s , and its ease of use with a day-date display is also an attractive feature.

Although it is a model with a unique exterior, the fact that it is combined with such practical machinery gives it a distinctive 5 Actus feel.
This is a piece that is easy to incorporate into your everyday life while still giving off a vintage vibe.

■Styling

Case size: height: 39.9mm , width: 36.9mm , thickness: 13.1mm , weight: 57g .

While the vivid blue gradation is striking, the case design has just the right amount of volume, so when worn on the wrist it doesn't look too flashy and adds a beautiful accent to your outfit.
Simply pair it with a simple shirt or jacket to add a touch of 70s style to your hands.

Additionally, since you can fully enjoy the reflections of the cut glass and the changing colours of the dial, we recommend styling your outfit in a more understated style, with the watch as the focal point.

■ Condition

The condition of the case is good with only minor scratches from use and no noticeable damage.
The dial remains beautiful and unblemished with excellent visibility.
Upon arrival, the windshield was replaced with a deadstock genuine cut glass windshield.
The movement is running smoothly and there are no problems with use.

Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.

Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product, but there will be a fee. Even if there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
