Introducing the Seiko " 5 Actus" made in 1973 .

The Seiko " 5 Actus" is a model for young people that was launched in 1969 .
Despite being within an affordable price range, it was developed as a highly practical, multi-functional model with features such as automatic winding, waterproofing, and a day-date display.

As lifestyles became more diverse, Seiko began to employ young people in its advertisements and developed marketing strategies that targeted new graduates and the younger generation at the time.
As a result, " 5 Actus" has become a popular series, especially among young people.

The wide variety of designs is one of its attractions, and it still has a strong following among vintage fans today.

The 5 Actus is known for its avant-garde design and high practicality.
This model features an avant-garde design typical of Seiko at the time, with a heavy, angular square case and a champagne gold-colored dial that match perfectly with each other.

The polished stainless steel case features prominent protrusions on both sides, giving it an impressive presence on the wrist.
The unique case shape clearly demonstrates the futuristic design approach of the time.

The dial is a champagne gold dial with vertical lines.
It shows a variety of expressions depending on how the light hits it.

The upright indexes are arranged in a three-dimensional manner, producing beautiful reflections not only from the front but also when viewed from different angles, achieving both visibility and design.
The vertically long, arched day-date display is unique and emphasizes the retro-modern impression.
It's an exquisite focal point that brings the whole design together.

Among the many 5 Actus models, this one stands out as being unique.
It's interesting not only as a watch but also as a fashion item.

The movement is automatic and uses 25 jewels.

It is highly durable and easy to maintain, and remains practical even today.
It is equipped with a function to fast-forward the day and date by operating the crown, making it an easy-to-use movement even for those who are handling vintage watches for the first time.

Size: height: 40.2mm , width: 35mm , thickness: 12.4mm , weight: 80g .

The case size is not much different from watches of the same era, but the thick, powerful case design gives it an impressive presence when worn.

It goes well with casual styling, and creates a natural look when paired with military shirts, open-collar shirts, chinos, and denim.
It would also be interesting to pair it with a shirt or other slightly more formal clothing.

The condition is good, there are some small scratches on the case due to use, but no noticeable scratches.
The dial is in good condition with no stains or corrosion.
The movement is running smoothly and the date and hacking functions work without any issues.

It is equipped with a metal bracelet exclusively for the 5 Actus at that time.

Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
