Introducing the 1973 Seiko "Roadmatic".
The Roadmatic is a series of Seiko automatic watches that debuted in 1968.
In the 1968 catalog, it was introduced as the "LM Roadmatic Group," featuring automatic models equipped with a seconds-stopping mechanism and a two-language calendar.
The series continued into the 1970s with various case and dial designs, and this piece is a model manufactured in 1973, during that period.
■Dial and Case Design
The appeal of this model lies in the finish of the blue dial and the sharp design of the case.
The dial transitions from a bright blue in the center to a dark blue around the periphery, with fine vertical and horizontal lines across the surface.
The light creates subtle highlights and shadows on these lines, emphasizing the color difference between the center and the periphery and drawing the eye to the center of the dial.
The indices feature a three-dimensional design with a groove down the center.
The light catches the left and right sides, creating a clear outline on the dial.
The baton hands and the frame surrounding the day and date displays also add definition to the dial.
The case features a striking design with straight lugs and a sharply defined bezel.
Polished surfaces catch the light with a sharp shine, highlighting the contours of the case. In addition to the glamour of the blue dial, the design also offers excellent visibility of the hands and indices, as well as ease of use for the day and date displays.
■Movement

The Cal.5606A movement is a 23-jewel automatic movement.
In addition to being wound automatically by the movement of your arm, it can also be wound manually by turning the crown.
It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and features a seconds-stopping mechanism that allows you to stop the seconds hand to set the time.
The day and date can be advanced quickly by operating the crown, and the day display offers a choice of two languages.
It is easy to set not only the time but also the calendar, making it a practical movement for everyday use.
■Styling
The case size is 40.4mm in height (including lugs) / 36.8mm in width (including crown) / 9.9mm in thickness / 48g in weight (including strap)
Paired with a white shirt, light gray jacket, and beige pants, the blue dial and leather strap add an accent to your outfit.
By keeping your clothing colors light, the blue of the dial and strap stands out, allowing you to enjoy the watch's color palette.
It is a versatile piece that complements both casual weekend denim styles and more polished looks featuring a jacket.

■For Your Peace of Mind
All watches we sell undergo an internal inspection by a professional watchmaker upon arrival. We only sell items that we have confirmed to be genuine, so you can shop with confidence.
We will fit a new leather strap to the watch before shipping.
Please select your preferred color from the order options tab.
※For watches with original straps or metal bands, the leather strap will not be fitted and will instead be sent separately as a spare.
We will also include a dedicated watch case when shipping.
●Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch●
At RESUME, when selling antique watches, we do not ship your order immediately after it is placed.
Instead, we have a professional watchmaker perform an overhaul (hereinafter "OH") and ship the watch once the OH is complete. (The process takes approximately 1–2 months.)
A professional watchmaker qualified as a First-Class Watch Repair Technician will completely disassemble the watch and perform a thorough OH, including replacing consumable parts such as internal gaskets, cleaning, and oiling.
The watch will be adjusted to within approximately ±1 minute per day.
When shipping, we will also include our store's original OH certificate, as well as photos of the movement disassembled and serviced.
Of course, due to the nature of pre-owned products, we cannot guarantee that they will never break. However, we provide this level of service so that you can enjoy the watch's original performance and use it with peace of mind in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
Depending on the model, we offer a one-year warranty at the time of purchase. Even after the warranty period has expired, we still offer repair services for a fee.
If you do not have a repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
