This Loadmatic Special offers a unique 1970s personality, combining a deep green dial with a multi-faceted crystal and even the original dedicated bracelet.

The Loadmatic is a series of mechanical watches by Seiko, first introduced in the late 1960s.

The "Loadmatic Special", released as a higher-end model, was equipped with the 52-series automatic movement developed by Daini Seikosha.
With its 28,800 vibrations per hour high-beat specification, it boasted higher performance than the regular Loadmatic.

The distinctive dial and case designs, characteristic of the 1970s, are also a major attraction, making this series enjoyable for its practicality as a mechanical watch and its design aesthetic typical of Seiko at the time.

■Dial and Case Design

The dial is a deep green color.

Depending on how the light hits it, the center area glows in a vivid emerald green, gradually transitioning to a nearly black tone towards the outer edge, offering a sense of depth.

The hour markers are three-dimensional, square-shaped applied indices.
Paired with gold-colored hands, they add a glamorous accent to the deep green dial.

At the 3 o'clock position, there is a day-date display.
The cursive "LM Special" and a symbolic mark for special models at the 6 o'clock position give it a sense of exclusivity distinct from the regular Loadmatic.

The case features a polygonal design composed of linear surfaces.
The protruding bezel and sharp edges combine to reflect light intensely from different angles.

Furthermore, the multi-faceted, three-dimensional crystal intricately reflects the dial's expression, further enhancing the bold and futuristic design characteristic of the 1970s.

This particular piece comes with an original dedicated bracelet designed to match the shape of the case.
The integrated line that seamlessly continues from the case to the bracelet allows you to enjoy the original design of this model.

■Movement

This particular piece is equipped with the Cal.5206 automatic movement, developed by Daini Seikosha.

In addition to its high-beat specification of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it is a highly practical movement with a hand-winding function, hacking seconds, and day-date display.

Even with its thin profile, the design, which incorporates many functions, demonstrates the attention to detail as a higher-end model, distinct from the regular Loadmatic.

■Styling

Case size: 38.7mm vertical (including lugs) / 36.3mm horizontal (including crown) / 10.7mm thickness / 92g weight (including band).

The deep green dial and linear case design add a touch of elegance to your wrist when paired with smart attire like shirts or jackets.

On the other hand, when paired with items in subdued colors such as black or gray knitwear or a leather jacket, the vibrant dial stands out as a stylish accent.

The integrated design from case to bracelet gives it a distinctive 1970s presence, yet it's easy to incorporate into modern outfits, making it a piece that will add an impressive touch to simple coordination.

■Condition

The dial, hands, and indices are all in good overall condition, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful color of the deep green dial.

There are minor scratches on the case and original bracelet from use, but the linear case lines and overall aesthetic remain well preserved.

There are no significant scratches or chips on the crystal, making it in a condition where you can fully enjoy its three-dimensional form, characteristic of the 1970s.

The watch will be thoroughly overhauled and serviced to an accuracy of within ±1 minute per day.
Furthermore, when delivered, we will include our original OH certificate detailing the work performed during the OH, along with photographs of the machine's disassembly and servicing.
