SEIKO 90's SEIKO 5 / Cal.7S26A
SEIKO 90's SEIKO 5 / Cal.7S26A
Introducing the Seiko "Seiko 5 " made in 1990 .
From the 1960s to the 1970s , Japanese watch manufacturers actively released a wide variety of models.
Mechanical watches were at their peak, and Seiko was selling a wide range of models from a variety of perspectives, including design, functionality, and specialized features.
The Seiko 5 is a model derived from the "Seikomatic" released in 1988. Since production began, it has been developed into numerous series and is a long-selling model that is still in production today.
Equipped with full-fledged functions such as automatic winding, day-date, and a waterproof case, as well as a wide range of designs and excellent cost performance, this watch was a huge hit when it was released and is still loved by many Seiko users today.
The Seiko "Seiko 5 " we are introducing this time is a model released for overseas markets that has a calendar display in two languages: English and Spanish.
The dial is a black dial that has been specially treated to give it a unique luster.
The steps on the surface create distinct shadows, emphasizing the three-dimensional feel of the dial.
The hands are gold dolphin hands and gold upright bar indexes.
The stainless steel case has lugs for attaching the strap integrated into it, giving it a sturdy and powerful form that catches the eye.
The unique dial, case design, and black and gold coloring give it a sense of elegance that is not often seen in Seiko watches made for the Japanese market, perhaps because it was designed for overseas markets.
The Seiko 5 is also highly practical, making it a great choice for those who want a casual watch.
The movement is a 21 jewel automatic, Cal.7S26A .
It is a practical machine with stable operation and precision, as well as excellent maintainability.
Due to the large number of watches produced, the supply of parts is stable, so even those who are handling vintage watches for the first time can use them with confidence.
The day-date function allows quick change of both the day and date by operating the crown.
Size: height: 42.4mm , width: 37.5mm , thickness: 11.7mm , weight: 55g .
It fits comfortably on the wrist, and the crown is stored inside the case, so you can bend your wrist without the crown getting in your way, making it comfortable to wear.
Condition: The case has some small scratches, but no noticeable damage.
The dial is in beautiful condition with no signs of wear or corrosion.
The movement is in good condition with no rust and works perfectly.
The calendar function also works smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)
A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.
