Introducing Seiko "fashion" from the 1960s .
During the period of rapid economic growth in the 1960s , wristwatches began to be chosen not only for their accuracy and practicality but also as a part of one 's outfit.
"Fashion" is the name of a series that reflects the atmosphere of the times, and it is a watch made with a refined design that fits into everyday life and practicality that is easy to pick up. It is not flashy, but rather captivating with the beauty of its surface and straight lines.
This model embodies Seiko's minimalist aesthetic.
■Dial and case design
The silver dial has a two-layer structure with a step between the outer edge and the center.
The entire dial is given a delicate hairline finish, which creates shadows and depth with every light that hits it.
The special two-layered design on top of this creates a natural three-dimensional effect that is unique to fashion.
The index has a minimalist design with slender bars evenly spaced.
The gold hands and second hand add a touch of color, adding just the right amount of glamour to the neat silver base.
The logo features the modest cursive " Seiko Fashion " and just " Diashock 17 Jewels " at the bottom, maintaining a balance that is typical of the " practical dress " of the time, without being too ornate.
The case is thin and rounded.
Even with the bulge of the windshield, it doesn't stand out too much, and its proportions make it easy to fit into the cuffs of a shirt.
The contours of the case and the straight lines of the lugs create a design that is small yet has a strong presence.
■ Movement
The movement is a hand-wound type with 17 jewels.
It is a highly practical movement as it is equipped with a shock-resistant device.
■Styling
This model is attractive for its elegance, created by its two-layer silver dial and gold hands.
It goes well with neat outfits like white shirts, navy jackets, and slacks, as well as knitwear and denim, and it keeps your hands from looking too rough, giving the overall look a sophisticated look.
If you choose a subdued color scheme such as monochrome, navy, or beige, the shadows and three-dimensionality of this watch will naturally stand out.
■ Condition
The case has only minor scratches from use and no noticeable damage.
The dial is in excellent condition with no stains or corrosion.
The movement is running smoothly and there are no problems with use.
■To ensure you can purchase with confidence
All watches sold in our store are inspected internally by a professional watch mechanic upon arrival and are only sold after being determined to be genuine, so you can use them with confidence.
When you purchase a watch, we will ship it to you with a brand new leather strap.
Please select the color you want from the order selection tab and place your order.
*For products that come with the original watch strap or metal band, the leather strap will not be attached and will be sent separately as a spare.
We will also include a special case for the watch when shipping.
Please be sure to read the following information after purchasing an antique watch.
When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)
Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.
When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
