Introducing the Seiko " 44 King Seiko" made in 1964 .
"King Seiko" (hereinafter referred to as KS ) was released by Daini Seikosha (Kameido Factory) in 1961 based on the philosophy of "creating a Japanese-made watch with precision that rivals Swiss watches."
The year before, Suwa Seikosha had released the "Grand Seiko" (hereafter referred to as GS ). While GS aimed to be the " best wristwatch, " KS was a model that maintained high precision while achieving a more reasonable price by simplifying some of the design and specifications.
For this reason, it is sometimes considered a "cheap version" compared to the GS , but the movement it is equipped with is smaller yet boasts the same level of precision as the GS .
King Seiko is considered to be the pinnacle of Seiko's lineup alongside Grand Seiko.
Its capabilities and presence make it worthy of being called a masterpiece representing Japan.
"King Seiko" was born as a luxury model of Seiko on par with Grand Seiko.
This model is a famous piece known as the " 44 King Seiko," equipped with an early 44 series movement.
The dial is a silver dial with a delicate sunburst finish.
The sharp, lustrous radial light creates a rich range of expressions depending on the viewing angle.
The index is a beautifully beveled, three-dimensional bar index, and its carefully polished shine accentuates the vintage elegance.
Particularly eye-catching is the cross-lined index at the 12 o'clock position.
The intricate lattice pattern sparkles in the light, giving it a subtle yet highly decorative feel.
The case features sharp chamfers and edgy lugs, and its beautiful design evokes the high level of processing technology that Seiko was proud of at the time.
It has a classic yet contemporary sophisticated beauty.
The " 44 King Seiko" is a watch that perfectly combines functional beauty and decorative beauty.
The movement is a hand-wound movement with 25 jewels.
This model does not have a caliber number, which is common in early models.
Another distinctive feature is the sickle-shaped lever attached to the top, which is the second hand regulating device.
As a high-end machine, it not only achieves high precision, but is also durable, easy to maintain, and built with an emphasis on practicality.
Even those who are handling vintage watches for the first time can use it with confidence.
Size: height: 43.8mm , width: 39.7mm , thickness: 10.9mm , weight: 46g .
Although it is somewhat large for a watch from the 1960s , it is thin and lightweight, so it fits comfortably when worn.
The simple yet powerful design can be worn in any situation, from formal to private.
It can be easily coordinated with not only suits but also casual outfits such as sweatshirts and T -shirts.
In terms of condition, the case has not only no noticeable scratches, but also small scratches, and has retained its original beauty.
The dial, like the case, is free of wear and dirt.
The medallion on the back cover is also not faded or chipped.
*A medallion protection sticker is currently attached.
The movement is running smoothly and the hack function works without any issues.
Equipped with Bambi Scotchguard, black.

When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
