Introducing the Seiko "Champion Calendar 860 " made in 1964 .
Seiko's history began with the Hattori Watch Repair Shop, which was established in 1877 by founder Kintaro Hattori.
Initially, he sold and repaired used watches, while also working as a repairman at other stores, steadily honing his skills.
In 1881 , he opened his own watch shop, Hattori Watch Shop.
Later, in 1892 , the company established Seikosha as a watch manufacturing division.
Utilizing the technology they had cultivated up to that point, they began by manufacturing wall clocks, and then successfully developed Japan's first pocket watches and wristwatches.
In this way, Seiko, which built the foundation of Japan's watch industry, eventually grew into a company known as "Global Seiko."
The Champion Calendar 860 is an improved successor to the Champion model that was released in 1960 .
The dial features a sharp, glossy silver dial with a sunray finish.
The hands and indexes are a combination of dolphin hands and upright bar indexes, resulting in a design that combines visibility with elegance.
At the 6 o'clock position, the word " WATER PROOF " is printed, indicating the watch's waterproof performance, and the back cover is engraved with a seahorse, a design that can be seen on Seiko's waterproof models.
The case is a round stainless steel case.
The short, thick lugs give the overall impression of strength and power.
Although it was a snap-back type, it was equipped with a rubber gasket, ensuring water resistance of about 10 atmospheres, which was a high standard at the time.
The simple design, stripped of all unnecessary elements, is a symbol of Seiko's sophistication and practicality, and its presence is instantly recognizable.
The Champion Calendar 860 is a vintage watch that truly embodies the aesthetics of subtraction and reflects Seiko's design philosophy.
The movement is a 17- jewel, hand-wound Cal.860 .
As it is an improved movement, it has stable operation, durability, and is easy to maintain.
The calendar function does not have a fast forward function, and the date is changed by turning the hands.
Size: height: 44.2mm , width: 39.1mm , thickness: 10.1mm , weight: 48g .
It is slightly larger in size than watches of the same era, but it is made to be thin, so it fits comfortably when worn.
The simple design makes it suitable for a wide range of occasions, from formal to casual.
It goes well with coats and jackets, as well as sweatshirts and hoodies.
The condition is good, there is some damage on the back of the case, but it does not affect use.
Replaced with a new genuine plastic windshield during initial check.
The dial has no noticeable damage and is in excellent condition for visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and the calendar function works without any issues.

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.
