Introducing Seiko's "Grand Seiko Self Data" made in 1965 .

The first Grand Seiko ( GS ) was born in 1960 with the goal of creating a Japanese-made watch that rivals Swiss-made watches.

When the GS was first developed, Seiko set its own accuracy standards, but they were so strict considering the technology at the time that some people said, ``Wouldn't it be impossible to commercialize a product with these standards?''
However, Seiko, which continued development at a rapid pace with a global perspective, leveraged its development experience with the highly accurate "Marvel" and the first luxury model "Lord Marvel", and finally achieved the same level as the Swiss chronometer inspection standard excellent grade. succeed in meeting the criteria.

At the time of its release, watches with a high degree of accuracy (within an average daily difference of -3 to +12 seconds) were considered acceptable products, and were released with a certificate. Even today, more than 60 years later, the GS remains Seiko's flagship. It continues to be a ship model.

The " GS Self Data" we are introducing this time is the second model equipped with Seiko's unique fast-date adjustment device and is waterproof.

The second model can be classified into early and late models, but this model has a chronometer notation and the case back falls under the early model with a lion medal.

The silver dial has a sunray finish that reflects light radially.
The upright bar index and dolphin hands are the same silver color as the dial, creating a sense of unity.

Due to its extremely simple structure, the " Grand Seiko " logo stands out, creating a face that exudes dignity and dignity.
It is truly a symbol of ``Seiko of the World.''

The movement is equipped with a 35 jewel, hand-wound Cal.430 .

It boasts high accuracy comparable to the excellent grade of chronometer inspection standards.
This movement is not only highly accurate, but also has features such as waterproofness and a calendar function, making it ideal for everyday use.
The calendar can be fast forwarded by operating the crown.

Size: Length: 43.1mm , Width: 39.7mm , Thickness: 11.4mm , Weight: 47g .

Although it has a sturdy and voluminous size, it is thin and lightweight, so you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.

The simple design goes well with metal and nylon bands, and depending on the band, it can be used in a wide range of situations, from business to casual.

In terms of condition, the case has only minor scratches and no noticeable scratches.
The lion medal on the case back is also in good condition with no corrosion whatsoever.
