Introducing the Seiko "Super" made in 1955 .

The "Super" model, which represented Seiko's dress line, was released in the 1950s , a time when domestically produced wristwatches were becoming increasingly diverse.

In response to demand for an elegant watch that would suit both business and glamorous social settings, the watch was developed in multiple variations, including round and square shapes, and became popular as a model that combined design with practicality.

Even now, more than 60 years after its release, its simple and beautiful appearance continues to receive high praise.

The "Super" is imbued with the elegance unique to old Seiko watches from the 1950s .

The dial has aged to a soft ivory, showcasing the natural aging that is unique to vintage pieces, giving it a gentle depth that can only be achieved over time.

At the 12 o'clock position is the three-dimensional "S" mark that symbolizes this model.
The unique curved lines and thickness typical of an upright design give the entire dial a compact look, shining brightly whenever it catches the light.

The dial has a classic design with Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and upright indexes with pointed tips at other positions.
The gold-tone pencil hands blend naturally with the aged ivory dial, creating an elegant and warm look.

The case is round and made of stainless steel.
Of note are the fancy lugs found on watches of this era.
The design, which curves gently from the base to the tip, creates a three-dimensional effect when worn, enhancing its presence beyond the case size.

The slim, well-proportioned design fits easily under the wrist, and the watch exudes the honest construction of a practical watch from that time.

The movement is hand-wound with 15 jewels.

This caliber embodies the idea that Seiko was pursuing at the time: "honest, durable domestically produced watches." Despite its simple structure, it combines stable accuracy with ease of use.

Case size: height: 37.4mm , width: 33.7mm , thickness: 9.4mm, weight: 31g .

It goes very well with neat styles such as jackets and coats, but it also goes well with casual outfits such as knitwear and shirts.

This is a piece that can be used naturally in any situation.

Condition: The case has no noticeable scratches or damage.
There is some paint peeling on the crown, but this does not affect use.
The dial has changed due to aging, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly.

Equipped with Bambi Scotchgard Black.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.

Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.
