Introducing the Seiko " 44 King Seiko" made in 1966 .

"King Seiko" (hereinafter referred to as KS ) was released by Daini Seikosha (Kameido Factory) in 1961 based on the philosophy of "creating a Japanese-made watch with precision that rivals Swiss watches."

The year before, Suwa Seikosha had released the "Grand Seiko" (hereafter referred to as GS ). While GS aimed to be the " best wristwatch, " KS was a model that maintained high precision while achieving a more reasonable price by simplifying some of the design and specifications.

For this reason, it is sometimes considered a "cheap version" compared to the GS , but the movement it is equipped with is smaller yet boasts the same level of precision as the GS .

King Seiko is considered to be the pinnacle of Seiko's lineup alongside Grand Seiko.
Its capabilities and presence make it worthy of being called a masterpiece representing Japan.

"King Seiko" was born in 1964 as Seiko's luxury model.
This model is one that combines sophisticated design with high practicality.

The dial is a silver dial with a delicate sunburst finish.
Its appearance changes gently depending on the amount of light, and it gives off a fine sparkle.

The gold-colored upright indexes and dolphin hands harmonize beautifully on the dial, further enhancing the sense of luxury.

It has a framed date display at the 3 o'clock position, making it both easy to read and practical.
The frame is also the same gold as the index, giving it a unified look.

The case has a classic round shape and a gold-plated finish.
The sharp edges of the lugs and crown also reflect the delicacy and design seen in Japanese-made wristwatches of the time.

The 44 King Seiko is suitable for everyday use, but also has the dignity that only a vintage watch can offer.

The movement is a 25- jewel hand-wound Cal.4402A .

The early model has a sickle-shaped lever on the top of the mechanism for the hacking function to stop the second hand, but this later model watch does not have this lever.
It is highly refined and boasts stable operation and high precision.

This movement is equipped with a date function and the date can be adjusted by turning the crown, making it highly practical.

It fits comfortably around the wrist and is designed to be thin and lightweight, so the sleeves won't get caught when you wear a jacket, and you won't get tired even if you wear it for a long time.

The gold color blends well with the skin, and the simple case design can be worn in a variety of situations, from formal to casual, depending on the strap you choose.
Leather belts go well with suits and jackets.
Replacing the band with a nylon one gives it a more casual look, making it a great match for shirts and T -shirts.

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or chips, and no discoloration or peeling of the plating.
The medallion on the back cover is also in beautiful condition with no chips or corrosion.
The dial, like the case, is in excellent condition for visibility.
The movement is working smoothly and all functions such as the hack and calendar are working without any problems.

Comes with a genuine Seiko leather strap.

All watches sold in our store are internally inspected by a professional watch mechanic upon arrival and are only sold after being determined to be genuine, so you can use them with confidence.


When you purchase a watch, we will attach a new leather strap to it when you deliver it to you.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul it (hereinafter referred to as OH) and deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will properly repair the product, but there will be a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
