In the late 1960s , Seiko's automatic watches expanded from being "special luxury items" to "practical items for everyday use."
As part of this trend, the "Business A " was born, developed as a practical machine for working people.

It has a slim design that fits easily under your cuff, and is a solid design with day and date displays.
This particular example, manufactured in 1967 , is equipped with the Cal. 8346A , which supports the concept of thin automatic winding, and is designed with " safe use " in mind for everyday use.

Rather than being flashy, it's about the perfection of the tool.
Business A is a series that allows you to experience the "aesthetics of practical items" that Seiko had refined at the time.

■Dial and case design

The "Business A " has an attractive, bold face that is typical of Seiko's business watches.

The dial has a silver sunray finish that changes its appearance softly when exposed to light.
It's not flashy, but rather the shadows stand out smoothly depending on the angle, highlighting the neatness that is characteristic of Business A.

The index is a three-dimensional bar type with sharp edges.
The mirror shine and calm tones coexist, making it minimalist yet not monotonous.
The hands are baton-shaped, a practical design that emphasizes visibility.
The day-date display at 3 o'clock is framed, giving the impression that its function is neatly contained as a tool .

The " SEIKO " logo and inscriptions are aligned in a straight line between 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, and the well-balanced layout enhances the clean look.

The case is cushion-shaped and not too rounded.
It features an outline made up of straight lines and surfaces, giving it a modern feel typical of the time while remaining very understated.

The case top has a calm texture with a satin finish.
The edges are sharply raised, and the different polishing creates shadows that subtly create a presence on the wrist.

All watches sold in our store are inspected internally by a professional watch mechanic upon arrival and are only sold after being determined to be genuine, so you can use them with confidence.

When you purchase a watch, we will ship it to you with a brand new leather strap.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.

Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product, but there will be a fee. Even if there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
