Introducing the Seiko "Special" made in 1970 .

Around 1970 , Seiko had established the practicality of domestically produced watches, and was in a period when it sought to more clearly establish its reputation for precision and quality.

" SPECIAL " is the name given to this idea.
This series was not just a model name, but was positioned as a higher-end model that met stricter standards than the regular line.

This philosophy was not limited to men's models, but was also applied to the women's line, resulting in models that were small in diameter but emphasized perfection.
This product is a special model made in 1970 that vividly reflects the background of the times.

■Dial and case design

Although it has a small diameter, the "Special" has the same concept as a higher-end model in terms of materials and finish.

The dial is a silver tone with a soft glow.
The understated color blends well with the skin, adding a natural elegance to your wrist.

The slender upright indexes subtly create a three-dimensional effect depending on the angle of the light, creating a delicate look within the small diameter case.

The cursive inscription " Special / 23 Jewels " at the 6 o'clock position is a subtle detail that indicates that this watch is a high-end model.
Rather than speaking out through decoration, the face is finished in a way that quietly captivates with its high quality.

The case has a gently tapered, oval-like shape.
The design, which gently connects straight lines and curves, combines the softness and modernity typical of the 1970s .

The WGP case has a fine hairline finish, which creates a presence with its subdued shadows without reflecting light too strongly.

The design is unified from the lugs to the bracelet, and it does not stand out too much when worn on the wrist, creating a natural, balanced look that is appealing.

■ Condition
The case has some minor scratches from use, but no noticeable damage.
The dial is in excellent condition with no corrosion or stains.
The movement is running smoothly and there is no problem with use. 

It is equipped with an aftermarket elastic belt.

All watches sold in our store are inspected internally by a professional watch mechanic upon arrival and are only sold after being determined to be genuine, so you can use them with confidence.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.

Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product, but there will be a fee. Even if there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
