The Roadmatic, which was introduced in 1968 , is one of Seiko's proud mechanical automatic watches.
Equipped with a thin, high-precision movement, this model combined practicality with stylish design, and was extremely popular, especially in the 1970s .

This is a famous Seiko model that was developed at the same time as Grand Seiko and King Seiko and is known only to those in the know.

■Dial and details

The Roadmatic is also known as a model that has undergone a wide variety of designs from its release to the end of production.

The watch we are introducing this time features an impressive deep green dial that changes appearance depending on the angle of the light.

The tone changes slightly from the center to the periphery, creating a sense of calm and depth, like light shining deep into a forest.

The index uses a three-dimensional bar type with multi-faceted cuts.
While ensuring visibility, the edgy design tightens the entire dial, giving it a classic yet modern sharpness.

The calendar function, which includes the day of the week and date, displays the days of the week in black for weekdays, blue for Saturdays, and red for Sundays, achieving a high level of both visibility and design.

The movement is a 23- jewel automatic movement ( Cal. 5606 series).

Despite its thin design, it boasts stable accuracy and has earned a high level of trust from the time of its creation to the present day.
The day of the week and date can be fast-forwarded by operating the crown, and the day of the week can be switched between English and Chinese characters.

■Styling

The dimensions are: height: 41mm , width: 38mm , thickness: 9.1mm.

The thin, compact case size is comfortable to wear and designed to prevent fatigue even when worn for long periods of time.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.

Of course, since the product itself is a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we have taken this approach so that you can enjoy the watch's inherent performance and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop nearby, please feel free to contact us.
