Introducing the Tudor Oyster from the 1940s .

In the 1930s , Rolex launched Tudor as a second line for the British market in an effort to expand brand recognition.

Its high technical capabilities, excellent cost performance, and name derived from the British dynasty gained it support and it quickly became widely known.
It later became independent from Rolex and is now recognized worldwide as a brand that has established its own unique position.

The Oyster with its shield rose is the origin of Tudor.

The warm ivory-toned dial acquires a soft, burnished look over the years.
The indexes, which combine Arabic numerals and dots, are neatly arranged, and the luminous finish is beautiful, reflecting the feel of the era.

At the 12 o'clock position is the " shield rose " logo, which was originally used in the Tudor brand logo.
This logo, which combines robustness and elegance, is a precious detail that symbolizes the early days of Tudor.

The hands are pencil hands with blued steel finish, a style unique to the 1940s .
Depending on the angle of the light, it glows blue, adding an elegant touch to the simple dial.

The stainless steel Oyster case is robust and waterproof.
The straight lugs and rounded bezel flow naturally together, creating a balanced proportion typical of the 1940s .

The crown is engraved with " OYSTER PATENT ," a valuable detail that conveys the manufacturing background of the time.

This is a tasteful watch that is unique to early Tudor, combining functional beauty and presence in a simple style.

The movement is hand-wound and uses 17 jewels.

This caliber was used by Tudor at the time, and has a highly reliable mechanism that provides a smooth and reliable feel when winding the mainspring.

Case size: height: 42.1mm , width: 37mm , thickness: 10.8mm , weight: 39g .

The Oyster, with its compact and elegant size and gentle ivory dial, can be incorporated into a wide range of styles, from jackets to shirts.
The impression changes when you change the strap, so you can enjoy changing the strap according to the season.

The condition is good, with some small scratches on the case due to use, but no major damage such as chips.
The screw-down crown also works without any problems.
The dial has changed due to aging, but this does not affect visibility.
The movement is running smoothly and without any issues.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand over the watch to you upon receiving your order. Instead, we have a professional overhaul (hereinafter referred to as OH) the watch, and then we deliver it to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1-2 months.)

Our specialized craftsmen, who are first-class watch repair technicians, will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.

When we deliver the machine to you, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which will show you what kind of overhaul work was done on the machine, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and serviced.
