Introducing the Balkan "Grand Prix" from the 1950s .

Vulcan was founded in Switzerland in 1858 .
We are a highly skilled manufacturer that produces all of the complicated mechanisms of watches, such as chronometers and chronographs, from the movements onwards.

The most famous of these is the "Cricket," the world's first watch with an alarm function.
The Cricket was named after the sound its alarm made, which resembled the sound of a cricket. It has been used by many American presidents and is therefore known as the "President's watch."

Vulcan manufactured a variety of watches from its founding until 2002 , after which it temporarily ceased production.
However, in 2022 , it will return to the watch industry with a new movement, attracting attention from watch enthusiasts.

The Balkan "Grand Prix" we are introducing this time means "grand prize" in French.

The dial is a beautiful pure white dial.
The indexes and hands are simply configured with wedge indexes and dolphin hands.

Dot-shaped minute markers are placed between the delicate, needle-sharp wedge indexes, giving the watch a more elegant look.
On the other hand, the shape of the dolphin hands is deliberately made to look large and flat, giving the design a sense of strength.
The simple look and sharp shine of the white and gold are appealing.

As a three- hand watch, the Grand Prix has an imposing presence worthy of the name "Grand Prize."

The movement is a hand-wound movement with 17 jewels.

Balkan's in-house movements, which have won numerous awards, boast stable operation due to their simple structure.

Size: Height: 41mm , Width: 35mm , Thickness: 8.5mm , Weight: 37g

This elegant and simple three -hand watch goes very well with formal attire such as suits and jackets.
It goes well with collared shirts and polo shirts, and also gives a casual look when paired with a stand-up collar shirt, so you can incorporate it into your outfit.

The condition is good, with some scratches on the back of the case, but no noticeable scratches or peeling paint on the surface.
The dial is in good condition with no noticeable stains.
The movement is also working smoothly without any problems.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
