Introducing the Zenith "Sport" from the 1960s .

Zenith was founded in Switzerland in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot.

Since its founding, the company has been actively promoting the development of watches by adopting American-style mechanized production methods seen in cutting-edge watch manufacturers.

Zenith's technical capabilities are recognized worldwide, and in 1927 it was officially adopted by the Japanese National Railways as its railway watch.

It was used by the US signal corps during the war, and was later officially adopted as a military watch by the German and British armies, which shows how highly regarded it was around the world.

In 1969 , Zenith completed the El Primero, a masterpiece movement that has made its mark in the history of watches.
The El Primero, which achieved measurement to within one -tenth of a degree, further demonstrated Zenith's high technological development capabilities to the world.

Zenith continues to be popular today as a comprehensive watch manufacturer that produces a wide range of watches.

Zenith's hand-wound model "Sport"
This watch's stylish design is eye-catching and sets it apart from the simple hand-wound watches of the same year.

The dial is a light grey with a sunburst finish.
The radially reflected light casts shadows on the dial, giving it a heavy, stately appearance.
It further enhances the brilliance of the Zenith logo at the 12 o'clock position.

The calendar, which is usually located at the 3 o'clock position, is unusually placed between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions.
The watch is designed to be positioned so that you can easily check the date when you peek it out from your sleeve while wearing the watch.

The case is a small tonneau shape.
The beautiful case lines and distinctive bulges of the case give it a stylish impression.

"Sporto" is packed with unique elements from the dial to the case design
Even now, more than 60 years later, this watch continues to fascinate us with its unique design that has not faded in the slightest.

The movement is a 17- jewel hand-wound type, Cal. 2552C.

With its simple structure, it is durable, practical, and easy to maintain, making it a movement that can be used daily without any problems even today.

The date can be changed by turning the crown.

Size: height: 38.7mm , width: 34.6mm , thickness: 9.3mm , weight: 39g .

It's small in size, so even people with thin wrists can wear it without any problems.

The casual look makes it easy to pair with casual styles such as denim and chinos, as well as T -shirts and sweatshirts.

The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or chips.

The dial is in beautiful condition with no signs of wear or corrosion.

The movement is also free of rust and runs smoothly.

When selling antique watches at RESUME, we do not immediately hand them over to you when you place your order. Instead, we ask a professional craftsman to overhaul them (hereafter referred to as OH) and deliver them to you after the OH is completed. (This takes about 1 to 2 months.)

A professional craftsman with first-class watch repair technician qualifications will completely disassemble your watch, replace worn parts such as the internal gaskets, clean it, oil it, and perform a thorough overhaul, maintaining it to a daily accuracy of about ±1 minute.
When we deliver the machine, we will also send you our own overhaul certificate, which shows what kind of overhaul was performed, as well as photos of the machine being disassembled and maintained.

Of course, due to the nature of the product itself being a second-hand item, there is no guarantee that it will never break, but we ask for your understanding that we take this approach so that you can enjoy the original performance of the watch and use it with peace of mind in the future.

When you purchase a product, we offer a one-year warranty depending on the model. Even if the warranty period has expired, we will still repair the product for a fee. If there is no repair shop near you, please feel free to contact us.
